About This Course

Many general dental practitioners do not routinely use rubber dam due to poor previous experience and inadequate training. This course addresses that directly, teaching you to isolate teeth in various clinical situations efficiently and without stress.

By the end of the morning you will have placed rubber dam multiple times and have a clear protocol to apply in clinic from the following day.

  • Understand rubber dam kit components and clamp classification
  • Identify clinical situations that require rubber dam isolation
  • Appreciate the role of moisture control in adhesive dentistry success
  • Isolate single teeth and full quadrants consistently and efficiently

Course Curriculum

8:30–9:00am — Registration and refreshments
9:30–10:45am — Lecture: moisture control methods, clamp types, auxiliary retention, floss ties, quadrant isolation
11:00am–1:00pm — Practical: rubber dam placement on typodont models covering single teeth, quadrants, split dam, and broken-down tooth techniques
